ARTISTIC MISSION
As a watercolor
specialist, my art subjects are principle themes of "Life
on the Good Side", "Rain People", and "Street
Scenes" reflecting life and happy times within a wide range
of subjects and techniques. Aspirations include a desire
to lecture and teach in my craft including publishing a new
book, "The Day The Electricity Went Out".
SPECIALTIES
Watercolor painting,
combining stylization and realism to produce a fresh, clean
and crisp look. An enthusiastic student of new techniques
in watercolor application with unusual and creative materials.
Expert in classroom demonstration and instruction, and jurist
for fine art shows.
CREDENTIALS
Graduate of Richardson, HS of Johnston, PA, Bachelor of Science in Education from Indiana University, 1974. Currently serving in my 18th year as a principle art instructor for the West Bloomfield Community Educational System. Teaching an average of 10 courses per term for students in ages of 7-87. Guest Instructor at Chautauqua Institute of arts in New York. Advanced artistic study with Muriel Fullmer, Rockwell plate artist for Hallmark; Paul Dennis, Cleveland Institute of art; Diane Boldman, Baycrafters Studio of Cleveland; Fred Leach, Head Designer at American Greetings; William Kufell, Master Portrait Artist. Workshops with Tom Lynch and Nita Engles, Celebrity Watercolor Artist.

of Show Awards at Mt. Clemens, Northville Hills Exhibits;
Art Over the Interstate; and Clarkston Art Festival. Received
the Purchase Award at the east Jordan Portside Show,
Petoskey Art in the Park Fair, and the Architectural Award
in Birmingham "Our Town" event. Featured
Artist in Huntington Woods Library Exhibit, 1995; Sponsor/Promoter
of the annual W. Bloomfield Art Center, Johnston, PA. 1999;
