Kathy Boltz Phillips has taught at the Society of Decorative Painters(SDP) conventions. She was contracted to teach specific paintings at the SDP conferences.

Kathy would supply the paper, paint, written instructions, a photo of the project and the demonstration. There was an average of 30 students per class. All the students painted the same watercolor painting and everyone went home with a painting within four to six hours. It was truly a great learning experience. Kathy has traveled to Canada, Las Vegas NV, the Poconos in PA, Providence RI, Columbus OH and Lansing, MI doing watercolor conventions.
